Yes, they expanded a couple years ago and now offer a full bar menu. Along with a selection of wines. It's a great place. Family run and family owned. I've easily eaten there over 100 times. And I've never met anyone that didnt like their food. Everything is made from scratch with fresh, premium ingredients. They don't skimp or cut any corners. No premade dishes that come frozen from a commissary like all the big corporate franchises. I'm not a shill and no I don't work there. I just love good food and it's hard to find restaurants like this nowadays. I've been eating there for over 20 years, tried almost every dish and have never been disappointed.
Yes
The food is great. The service is great. I have been a customer since 2000, and have never received anything but fantastic food and service. My favorites are the entire menu. This place is a must for anyone visiting or living in the DFW area.
Excellent scene for quality Pizza. Fast, efficient, and courteous service. This place has a cool design. Reminds me of a place in New York I loved to visit.
Got a giant half Philly cheese steak (edible) and half buffalo chicken (decent). The size for the price is great but the taste of the food isn't anything that we would come back for.
I have order 3 times!! 3 times they have forgot the Mariana sauce. This time they forgot to cut my pizza square. Not a specific reason for the cut just something different for the kids on Tuesday night. Does this takes away the best pizza ever? Nope! I say to you who bag my order how dare you! 😳😳 While I say thank you to the kitchen staff. Anyways!! Love your pizza guys! Don’t forget my marinara next time! Oh did I say they always say 35-45 min delivery and get there under 30min! We appreciate a good pizza in this hard times!
Definitely one of the best pizza spots!! I live in Lubbock and try to visit this spot every time I’m in Dallas!!
Pizza is really good. Its that messy brooklyn style that is so tasty.
Hunts sauce in the Chicken Parmigiano. 20$ large pizza with no toppings. That's crazy. Trust me. Go to Italia express instead.
I should have hung up before placing the order. Person on phone was not friendly. When I arrived to pick up my order the workers were complaining loudly about someone who didn't come in for work. I was not greeted but told I was in the wrong area for pickup. I walked over to pickup area to have someone ask me from across the dining area if I was ordering or picking up. The guy that rang me up was semi friendly (I assumed in hope of a tip?) I ordered a half/half specialty pizza. Philly Cheese steak /Margarita. I got 1/3 cheese steak 2/3 tomato basil. I wont go back.
I was really Impressed. I was raised in New York and the first thing I did when the pizza came out was tear a piece of the crust to see how good the quality of the dough was and OMG it was excellent. I've been to a lot of places that claim to be authentic but this hit the spot. The sauce was good sweet and tangy (I actually didnt get heartburn ) . The garlic bread with cheese was excellent. So all together it came out to be $22 for 2 drinks, garlic bread with cheese, and 2 drinks. (You may pay more or less idk either way for it being in that area is pretty good). Just give them a try I recommend it because I'll be back.
Amaaaaazing linguini with white clam sauce. BEST EVER including NY, SAN FRANCISCO. Also best, tenderest fried calamari. You won't believe the quality of these two items. Great homemade red sauce vinaigrette house salad dressing.
Really good pizza , but my favorite still unbeaten is the fetechini alfredo!! The best in town , homemade ever time you order . The environment is family friendly, so much we do most of our big parties here ..
Great food at a great price. Staff very friendly!
I love coming here!!! I always get the same thing. Chicken parmigiana and garlic bread! And it is so GOOD! Every time I come here I am never ever disappointed. I always leave happy and full! It’s a little hole in the wall nothing to special but it’s so laid back and just comfortable. Excuse my picture I had already started to go in on my food 😋
Placed a to go order in store for 2 slices of cheese and a veal parm sandwich. Left a 25% tip and was told it would be 15 minutes. 43 minutes later (thank you google timeline) I received the order and went home. Opened the pizza box and slices were cold, and looked as if old with new mozzarella put on top. (Was told thats how they always do it. Ive had sals tons of times and dont remeber the pizza like that) Sandwich was still hot though which makes me think that the slices were heated when order was placed and then sat for 35 minutes untill sandwich was ready. Asked the the lady behind the counter arguing with me "Why wouldnt you time the reheat of the slices to right before the sandwich was done so both items are warm? " was told thats not how they do it. There are better places around such as Italia express and pie tap. Wont be coming back here again.
Mediocre food, ordered the Appetizer Sampler and all of it looked almost over fried and dry. Calamari wasn't fresh, the Lasagna was okay at best. Tortellini needed more flavor and sauce was bland, pasta was overcooked. Won't be coming back.
I never knew about this place until some coworkers brought pizza to work from this restaurant. The pizza was great, so I thought I should pay the restaurant a visit. My experience was awesome. The service was quick and the food came out with great presentation and full of flavor. My new spot 😎
Been looking for good New York style pizza. Finally found it here. Great pepperoni pizza..big slices...reasonable price
Gordon Ramsey would probably come here on Kitchen nightmares and have a blast. It was SO DISGUSTING. Someone found a fly in their water, flies are all over the place, forgot our appetizer, got an order wrong, waiting over 45 minutes for a large pizza and a pasta dish. Management made joke of everything wrong that “oh, it’s a lazy Sunday ya know! Haha!”. we needed to leave to make an appt and ALL OF THE SUDDEN the pizza happens to be ready when we just demand our food to be boxed up instead. Staff just sitting and standing around. Also, there was so much dust and rotten ceiling tiles. Please don’t go here. Support a different local.
This place is great to hang out with family and eat great food. The also have kindly open there doors for the church i go to hold service there every sunday morning. Great People all around love this place.
Sal's is an icon of Dallas. If you want a delicious pizza then you have to come here. Their food is great and often one of the owners family members is working. I would have to say, this is the best pizza in Dallas!
A new night spot for me! Was greeted as soon as I walked in. Although I ordered to go, waited 15 minutes for food. The wait didn't bother me at all being it was made fresh! I can say it was pricey! I was in the mindset of fast food portions. When I finally did get my order I was thoroughly surprised as the stromboli was huge and delicious! Will definitely return and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a date/family/chill spot to eat!
The pizza here is good most the time. Prices are good too.
The people are wonderful the food is unbelievable and I have to say I cannot believe I didn't find this place sooner
Good pizza and quick serving. Super good crust and tasty. Lots of different topping options. We ordered the house pizza and it was loaded with toppings. They definitely aren't stingy with them. It was a good price for good pizza.
Sal's has been in Dallas for 38 years and I have been eating here my entire life. It is hands down one of the best pizza places in Dallas. Get the special with jalapenos. Get garlic cheese bread with house dressing. Everything is amazing and they have the freshest bread and ingredients of any pizza place I've been.
I have been visiting Sal's for their WONDERFUL stromboli for over 35 years! It's a bit of a drive but well worth it. The house dressing, the entrees - all delicious. Lovely casual atmosphere .
This place is great. The ONLY thing I didn't like about it is that the food is a bit soggy. For example, the salad that came out before the food had a lot of water, making the salad not as "fresh" tasting. The lobster ravioli had great taste, but again, the scampi sauce was watered down. The pizza was so good, but the center of the pizza was soggy.. it seems like a family oriented place, as there was a customer there that was greeted by first name from the employees. I enjoyed the family feel of the restuarant and would go again, but would possibly try a different entree and give the food another try.
Food was very good and the waitstaff was attentive and pleasant.
Neighborhood institution which continues to turn out satisfying Italian "comfort food" and New York style (thin crust) pizza. Even the NY accents are authentic.
